Smoothing a figure

I am making a animation and Cant figure out how to make all the sharp edges smooth. Can anyone help me?

I dont know how there got to be 2 posts, I guess I messed up. Sorry about that.

Try using a bevel. Select all the edges you want smoothed and press ‘W’. From there select Bevel and I generall use a recursion of 3 but its really up to you.
