Smoothing individual edges

I have some rectangular lengths. I need to smooth one or more of the long edge on some of the lengths. For instance, if I smoothed two of the four edges, the result would be a D-like shape.

Is there an easy way to do this?

One way would be to use subsurf, with edge loops or creases on the edges you want to keep sharp.

Yeah, you might want to remember that when asking questions. It would help a lot to answer them.

Thanks for the feedback. Which of my previous questions would have benefited from an attached picture, and what would those pictures have looked like.
