snap one object to the grid

hello. i am trying to snap an object to the blender grid while in object mode. i only want this one object to be snapped to the grid and to move 0.5 blender units at a time. thank you.

Shift+S / 1

to move 0.5 blender units at a time
In the Properties / Display settings, set the Scale value to 0.5 and ensure the snap option is set to Grid Ingrement
