Snapping mouse to grid

Sorry for the barrage of questions, I just keep running into things I don’t know… Thus is learning.

Is there any way to precisely position the mouse cursor in the scene?
The reason that I ask is that I need to move the pivot point of an object, and the only way I know how is through the “Center Cursor” command.
Because this is part of a more complex rig, the pivot point must be accurate, but so far the best I can do is to zoom in really close to try and get the cursor on the grid.

You can do this two ways:

(1) Zoom in sufficiently to see the grid you wish to snap to. Press Shift-S --> Cursor -> Grid.

(2) Choose View --> View Properties from the 3D View menu bar to get the ‘view properties’ floating panel. You can manipulate the 3D Cursor’s position from there.

Hope this helps.
