This project was developed for the fifth module of Escola Revolution’s 3D Training program. The task involved creating a hard surface project with a “games” theme, utilizing subdivision modeling. In this study I chose to model the SNES PAL version, from Nintendo and used Blender (cycles), Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

Great stuff! I remember when my friend in school was the first lad in the whole town to get a Super Famicom Japanese import SNES with Street Fighter 2. Kids used to queue up outside his house to play it because it was like having an arcade machine at home.

Great job on this. Very clean work all round. :+1:

wow mazing!!! I noticed though that the D pad is too thick though  it hsould be slightly narrower and you could lift it up slightly.

Other than that seems pretty super accurate to me.

How did you do the mesh? did you eye ball the whole thing or used reference or blueprint photos in blender?

How you did the textures? did you painted them your self? They look clean and not like photos.

Hi Engie, thanks for your comment and tips.

I used blueprints and reference photos for modeling in Blender, as the blueprint didn’t seem very accurate to me.

Regarding the textures, I opened the UVs and painted the base colors and included texts and logos in Photoshop. I also used some photos that were added in the UV within Photoshop.

And in Blender I worked on the materials and included a Roughness texture to add a little imperfection.

And thats it. I’m glad you liked it. =)

cool I was seeing some imperfection on the controller plug that’s connect to the console

I kind of quess that would be the work flow too, good job!
