Snow effect: snow falls too uniform!

Hi guys,

My snow in my animated scene has a problem, it all falls in a rather static and ordinary way. See this video:

Heres its particle settings:

Now i had to set up the damping to be quite high to stop the particles falling too fast. Is there anything i can do to randomize their speed and movement a bit so the snow doesn’t seem as “1995”?

You can use the brownian motion (in the physics tab) or add a turbulence forcefield (shift a)

yeah brownian motion is pretty much the same thing that effects REAL snow, simulating infinately small impacts basically knocking the entity around randomly, giving it a very pleasing result for things like fire, snow, smoke, and anything which is considered VERY low density floating in a medium (the air in this case)
