Sofa I am working on.

Did this years ago in c4d. Wanted to see if I could do it in blender. Should be done in a day or two.

Now I have to create a scene and texture everything.

Nice. How did you create that pattern?

^I assume he modeled part of it in a flat square, used the array modifier to duplicate the pattern and stretch it out, and used the curve modifier to bend and shape it like a couch. It’s hard to figure out, but I assume it probably gets simple once you try to take it step by step and work it out.

That said, looks impressive. Good job.

I extruded the outside arm shape around a curve, put in the necessary loop cuts horozontally and vertically, selected every other vertice, comnnected them, I think I then chamfered those vertices, extruded back along normals, collapsed vertices. Both the outside arm shape and curve, or profile and curve have to be selectable in edit mode. So I created the 2nd one( or first) in edit mode after creating one of them. Then I used zmj’s extrude along path tool in his addon suite, not bargool tools, but the other one. Go to the bargool tools thread to find. Thanks

As well you have to chose all the connected edges between the chamfered and collapsed vertices, then I think split the edges into 2,expand that into the width of the cords, extrude that in on individual normals, split, then extrude out along individual normals to give the diagonal corded pattern surounding the quilts.

Go to cg arena and look at the tutorial by a Mr. Keshta. There used to be downloadable video files there. Look under Sofa and his name. I modeled this years ago after watching his tutorials and getting help from my friend.

Now I want to append the sofa into an interior scene and was wondering How do I prepare my 7 part file to bring it into the scene? I know I could probably save it as dae and import it into the interior scene. None of my 7 objects have been joined so far. Thanks
