Soft Blue Materail

Hi, how to get as close as possible to this blue cloth material? Thanks.

I tried subsurface as .1. But it looks so washed.

One of the issues with replicating the look of a material like this is not only replicating the material itself, but also the environment/lighting. If you don’t get the environment/lighting correct, it’d be almost impossible to replicate the look of this scene using materials alone.

Maybe show us what you have achieved so far - so we know how far away you are in terms of the material itself and the environment/lighting.

I am using an Environment texture as well. It is called Wide Street

I do not know enough to bend it like the original as well

interesting look !

looks like a simple diffuse material

and some nice shadows from light enviro set up
main light source seems to be from the back
but also some light from the front

the curved object can probably be done several ways

Ex:

Cloth simul
curve follow
prop edit

Thanks. I am not sure how to use the above two. Any pointers would be great.

I did use a cloth sim and pin group along with wind for this one.

It looks a bit glossy to me - there is a definite glossy reflection on the inside of the curve to the left.

a little bit of glossy on left
but mostly diffuse

here is quick test with simple diffuse

what do you think
might add some glossy with high roughness may be

To bend the planes according to a curve, what should I look for? I mean, is there a feature called " Curve Follow " ?

I will trial and error so that I can learn. So nice of you all to help.

you could use the curve modifier

but i did not i just added a simple bezier curve and played with it
not certain what real shape you need here

i use 2 area light bluish on the right
one in the back and one in front

you need to make the cloth model which i approximated with simple curves 3D

Heres my take, probably put it into the compositer to add back some saturation or play with lights more.

Extrude yr curves and add depth like this in the curve menu.
