What you are seeing: Frame 1 via the render engine, frame 1 “render this window”, then frame 8, Rendered/3d window; then finally the present soft body settings for the mesh.
What I was trying to do is have just a bit of ‘jiggle’ in certain spots (already weight painted the areas I wanted to have jiggle using weight paint to group ‘jiggle’ as per the way it says to for 2.49) and the hair move freely during the animation. What I am getting is a total vanishing of the verti that should be moving under soft body rules. Is it something in my settings I’m not doing right, or is it just my computer is too old and weak to handle this, or something else entirely? This happens reguardless of if I try to bake or if I turn on “continue Physics” in the timeline…
