Is it possible to get a soft raytrace shadow? I hate how they are so sharp. I have never seen a sharp shadow in real life. I like how the buffer shadow works, but I can’t just keep using spotlights all over the place, it will look weird. What can I do to get realistic shadows?
Use area lights or radiosity. Ambient occlusion helps soften things up, too.
I used Dither but you could use Noise or both.
Your spots have a bi rating that softens the edge and makes the shadows soft.
