Solar Flare Studios has moved!
For everybody here that uses the forum over at my site, I have not abandoned you. I had some hosting issues so I have finally moved the site over to a real web host instead of running it off of my computer. The site is now at www.solarflarestudios.com
The forum is still there and still allowing attachments. I have reduced the attachment size to 2MB per file because this is the maximum that I can upload through PHP on this host. The old domain, http://rendermonitor.no-ip.com, still works as I have set it up to be a re-direct. This means that you will not have to change any links to files that you already have on the forum. However I would prefer that you use the new domain when creating new links.
The Blender Reel forum is still in place and still needs your submissions. Now that I am out of school for the summer I will be working on a dedicated site for the Blender Reel contest to make ongoing submissions and voting easier. What I plan to do with this is basically run the contest indefinitely and allow continuous voting on pieces that have been submitted. Every so often I’ll take the top works (based on user voting) and contact their authors to work with them in putting together a 2-5 minute reel showcasing the best of Blender. I think that this system will be in place by the beginning of September. I’ll be sure to transfer all works that have already been submitted in the forum over to the new system.
