Solid Mode and Games

When you press Z, you get a solid version of your game/image/movie. When I turn it to this mode and play it as a game, everything is like almost pur white like you are right next to the sun. And I have no lamps, and it still happens when I do. Help?

play the game in potato mode (Alt-Z)

Are your models UV mapped or Vertex painted?
Did you turn Lighting on for the faces?
