Hy!
I stumbled upon this among the Siggraph 2007 papers:

It would be great if it could be integrated into Blender! :eyebrowlift:

i would like to see that in blender too…
secondly, it would be cool to somehow “seduce” researchers to implement their stuff into blender firstly, so that way someone could really use it. i see a lot of papers which are just laying
around unused, either because they could not find any sponsors to make a commercial plugin or app out of it, or they just realised that their stuff is a not so important feature. but anyway, the hipe they could generate around blender would be much bigger, and some implemented stuff would stay in blender forever giving the dev some fame and experience
he/she could put on his/her cv.
I posted about that a long time ago, I think it would be nice to convince researchers to use Blender as their platform for implementation, we could have a number of leading 3D technologies and the Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, and XSI users would be heading for the tissue box:D
