Can anyone tell me why the solidify is so nonuniform? There’s nothing particularly unusual about the starting mesh that I can find that would cause it. I chose Even Thickness, High Quality Normals, and Fill Rim, not that those influence the nonuniformity. And I had to select the rim faces and zero scale them to get it looking flat and pretty like that. I can put a flat face on the bottom or leave it open, but it doesn’t affect that non-uniformity.
