[SOLVED] 2.53 edge loop select faces

Running 2.53 on ubuntu 10.04 64 bit.

Clicking “Edge loop” from Ctrl E menu with 1 face selected (face select mode) selects only the edges of a loop and not the faces although the faces are filled.

I would expect that the face would be selected as well.

Any suggestions ?

Select a Edge Ring is equal to select a Face Loop.

Ctrl+E options concerne active edge. Ctrl+F -> active face.

In Face Mode Selection , use Ctrl+Alt+Select Mouse Button to select a Face Loop.

I missed this information.
I also did not knew the with face loop direction with Alt Ctrl is determined by the side of the face you click on.
