(solved) found broken functionality in 2.67 that works in 2.66

(Why can’t I see all of my 3 texture maps? (B 2.67)

I’m pretty sure this used to work and in 2.67 too.

I have a material consisting of two textures, each with its own texture map in the object data panel of the object in question. Everything works OK. When I add a third one, also assign a new texture map (that shares the image source with one of the other two) and set it to ‘mapping: UV’ it becomes invisible. ‘mapping: generated’ seems to work but it’s not what I want.

OK going back to 2.66 fixed it. It appears to be broken in 2.69 too.
