Hello, it seems the bake tab has disappeared in 3. how do you bake AO from a model

If the bake tab is not there, you might be using the Eevee renderer. Make sure you are in Cycles first.

Also, if you are going to bake AO, you should know that the “fast GI approximation” tab has the settings for world AO and those control the AO distance in bakes.

yep, that was the prob. I was with eevee
