Use to be a “back to previous button” on the top header
Somehow ctrl(cmd) + (up arrow) got pushed? Ctrl + (down arrow) to see if it resets the space?

what is ctrl(cmd)

is this Ctrl key only ?

and what is this window
if I select image it does not do anything !

is this a new bug in 2.78 ?

sorry I use wrong discuss forum
wanted it in basic forum but made a mistake !

this seems to have something to do with bookmark somehow!
never really use that one before so a bit loss here

top left select the 3D view and it goes back to normal

The file browser is a regular editor in Blender. You can just exit it like any other editor using the Editor Type menu in the header. If you didn’t manually change the editor to be a file browser it should even be opened as a temporary editor, so you can exit it using Esc-key.

I tried many things Tab and CTRl Arrow ect and nothing happened!

just found that I had to go at top left and change it to 3D and seems to get out of this mode

but still wonder how I got there in first place
some keys mistake may be LOL
