I’m doing a fire sim using the Khaos add-on and their shader. In the viewport, it’s all fine but when I render the sequence I only get the smoke, not the fire. I don’t know if this issue is related to Khaos or just Blender.
Have you checked the domain and flow settings? It should be fire+smoke and there are settings in the domain that can effect the flame size. Also changing veiwport lighting can help.
I did. The problem is strange because it renders properly in the viewport. Fire and smoke. I had to delete the domain and make another one to fix the problem.
Well glad you figured it out. How is khaos btw? I have the blaze shader addon but debatd khaos.
I just got it so I didn’t get a chance to really experiment with it. I was following the flame thrower tutorial. The shader is awesome though. Much better than the basic one that comes with Blender.
I found the problem. I can’t see the flames if the particles are turned off, meaning the object and the particle system that generate the flames. They are visible in the viewport but not in the final render. Strange.
