[SOLVED] Node editor : no filters available

Running 2.54 on ubuntu 10.04.
With “vec” enabled in the render panel (layer tab) I do not get “filters” in “add” menu of the node editor.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

2.54 is ancient now and there have been lots of bug fixes since that was released. At least try one of the 2.55 betas to see if that solves your problem.

Thanks, I tried 2.55 and I have the filters. But that was not the problem. The problem was that I had to select “compositing nodes” in the node window first before clicking “use nodes”. It was default on “material” whereas it was default “compositing nodes” before. Now it gives “render layer” as starting node instead of “material” as starting node. The material node has no filter option, the render layer node has.
