*SOLVED* Placing a logo on an object

I have created an oval blimp-like object and I would like to place a picture of a logo length-wise, on the oval’s side. I would like to stress that I would like the logo to appear in a small rectangle on the side of the oval (the logo should not occupy the entire surface of the oval).

Unfotunately, I’ve tried many strategies without avail and I’m convinced that there has to be an easy way to do this.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Decaling… Yes, that was exactly what I was looking for!
Thank you!

Is there no way to mark a thread to Solved?

You can edit your first post, and click advanced.
And change the title from there, but not a lot of point.
One a thread in support has a few replies it’ll be assume solved.

i tested this for the fun in 2.49 with a simple JPG pic just to practice and to remember it better but no PNG for alpha for this one.

after adding the empty to one material with Z axis away form face as shown in video

as soon as i added the clip option in F6 the image dissappear from the render

can someone explain why this is happening ?

Thanks
