Solved! Remeshing object in 4.2 tears holes in the mesh!

When I tried to remesh this object, I get a ton of holes in the mesh. As though it has been hit with a grenade from the inside.

What might cause this?

Thanks

It’s probably because the geometry is too thin. Most parts of your model are thick, but the upper part appears thinner. I would suggest solidify, but it appears that that part has already been joined to the main model, so solidifying would just make it messier.

Are there any open, unfilled parts of your mesh? If so, try closing them before remeshing.

Hi Ava, you nailed it. There were open areas in the mesh. Thank you!
