(SOLVED) Unable to remove animation from armature

I’m following a rigging tutorial, and trying to remove the animation from the rigged model the tutorial’s using. Following the tutorial’s instructions I selected the model’s armature and unlinked its action in the action editor. There are no keyframes showing for the armature in either the timeline or the action editor, but still the model moves when I press the Play Animation button or scrub the timeline. I’ve tried clearing the pose by going to frame one and pressing Alt-G, Alt-R and Alt-S, but the pose just comes back if I move beyond frame one or if I save and reload the file. I’m still very new to Blender animation so I’m probably missing something basic, but at the moment I’m lost. I can’t go on with the tutorial as I can’t save my poses - the animation just gets rid of them when I save and reopen. Anyone got any ideas what’s happening?

The model is the very good Ideal Female Body (Blendswap link) by AndresCuccaro. I’ve removed everything except the armature in the attached file to avoid redistributing the artwork.

(Edit: Problem solved. There was a “Walk Cycle” action I was able to delete in then NLA editor, and now the animation’s properly gone. Still wondering why it didn’t show anywhere else though.)

You need to remove it in NLA editor.

Much thanks
