Hi,
could someone help me solve this problem? Look at the render. there are some bright dots on some edges. The picture is rendered with 3x3 AA and the best full GI quality. In some cases, there are simmilar dark pixels too in the picture. What is it and how can I fix it? Thank you in advance for the reply,
Stepaan
Hi,
Maybe you should also play with the OSA settings… but really not sure :-?
This might be of interest for you.

Best Regards,
The only thing I can think of at this point (apart from bugs) is that you maybe have the ‘Clamp RGB’ button disabled (yafray panel)?
When you have very bright light sources, AA won’t work too well without it. But since that button is probably not used very often (or at all?), I guess it is not very likely it is the source of those problems.
Otherwise, you could try lowering the AA threshold value, disable ‘Auto AA’ and set the number of AA samples/passes and threshold level manually.
Thanx. Clamp RGB worked well. There are many things I must learn about YAFRay yet.
I’ve tried illuminate a scene using HDRI. I’ve got this result:
With or without photons, the result looks quite similar.
Please, could someone help me? Why are there the bright spots in the picture? (Beneath the “flower” and behind it, there are planes, no HDRI is visible.)
Thanx,
Stepaan
Could you post you YafRAY settings?
