Hi, after tracking several points that seem to me to be perfect, I hit camera solve and get an average tracking rate of 12589.34, which isnt good, and in the top right hand corner i get a msg “Some data wont reconstruct” I have no idea why, have reselected my tracking points severl time and on numerous different clips…Using a sony hd camera with all info supplied on focals and the like, seems i am missing something…
any ideas.
How many points are you using and what range of frames are you using for the initial solve?
well for the initial solve i just had the stander 1 to 30 frames, I have about 15 points…tried with the 8… then 10…
the user manual for the camera has alll the specs, says its a 1/4 sensor. which i thought was 3.5 width…29.8 focal…and 1920 x 1080.
i had 1 orange sphere at one stage 
was stoked when i saw it… but tried heaps of key frames…
ill read the thread and try again tonight… just getting ver frustrated

I think if you type the sensor width as 36mm and fl as 29.8, then change the sensor width for the correct value in mm for your camera (check carefully) it will convert the lens equivalent automatically. I think…
Or just follow the instructions in the other thread to work out yourself

got the error rate down to 2.2 but still no spheres…tried numerous focals and sensor sizes against the equivilant number of key frames and still nothing below 2.2 . wonder if its not enough tracking points…any ideas…
