I thought I’d experiment with capturing some gameplay video from my current project. It’s an action/rpg twin-stick-shooter, set on a spaceship infected with some sort of ghostly presence. Here’s what I ended up with: ghostyGameplayTest
I haven’t implemented my spawing system yet, so it’s just constantly adding enemies. There’s also not much in the way of effects yet, but I’ll probably focus on making terrain and level stuff before I worry about that.
I also put some other shorter videos up on my blog here . There’s a sidescrolling template game I was working on, and shorter versions of the main video.
My only problem here was with the video itself. I can’t believe that I’m actually going to say this, but: “The video was too long”.
I mean there was no reason to watch any more than ~10 seconds of each half, because once you’ve seen the environment, and the little guy shooting the skulls (I’m assuming that’s what those are), you’ve pretty much seen all there is to see.
That said; this looks like a great project. Keep up the good work.
PS: I also like that side-scrolling game. I think you should try to finish that.
Love how many targets you get on the screen at one time.
Keep up the great work
