I’ve seen that studios video on vimeo for a while.
They have no other options but to opensource it since it’s to heavily dependent and built with Bullet Physics.
It’s nice though! There was a GSoC integrating Bullet with blender, I think it was Aligorith who had it. Achieving similar things.
Bullet is under a zlib license which means they have no obligation to release their code that links to it.

No, but when it’s to heavily reliable on bullet, anyone else could just use bullet to redo their work and relase as GPL and quickly catch up and go beyond what they did.
