Here i tried to simulate around 100 000 particles in various conditions, Stability is good. but still There are some issues like sudden explode during high particle count, collision tolerance etc (tested till 3 substeps).
All the tests are done in blender 2.66 with cycles having 80 Samples. I have used Pinfo node for particle velocity to show white particles when their speed is below a certain value.
Really interesting tests.
How do you build the node setup for particle velocity?
I tested the SPH particles but never reach something interesting like yours…

Particle settings are pretty much unchanged except for the Size (0.015 to 0.025), Viscosity (20 to 40) and Substeps ( 2 For single emitter and 3 while mixing 2 fluids) …
for Shader, i used P-info node… Checkout the image for whole setup.
