I had the idea of making the intro of the Sonic movie in 3D, and the results were okay, I guess. I could have put way more work into it if I wasn’t so lazy.
The video was so good, I posted this on my Facebook page.
Wow, that looked great! Was that all done in blender?
Everything was made in Blender, and the compositing/post-processing was done with After Effects.
Nice what is the your computer and render time?
Awsome, nice work, congratulations.
I love the glossy.
You used Blender Cycles or Blender Render?
AMD Athlon II X2 245 2.91 GHz, 3GB RAM, GTX 550 TI 1 GB. In other words, a really mediocre computer.
Waaaayyy too long to remember…plus my PC specs didn’t help with that either.
I used Cycles for this one because I knew I could get some sick reflections. Because of my specs and long render times, I thought I could cut out most of the noise with the De-noise node, and it worked. Unfortunately I used DoF along with the De-noise node which was a huge mistake which resulted in even more noise in some areas. I didn’t see those parts until later in the rendering process and couldn’t be bothered to fix it.
Im too curious for know the render time.
The render time want mean how many time takes you to render all the project, like 2 hours, 4, 5… Or 48 hours… 2 weeks, etc…
A rough estimate would probably be…around 14-15 hours including re-renders.
