Hi Guys! It has been a while. I had a lot of client work but I’m finally diving back into Blender for personal projects.

I recently came across the page of @maxjulan over on instagram and loved his minimal way of photography. I had to see if I could get close to his results within Blender.

I used the Geo-Scatter add on for the distribution of the bushes and the other vegatation. The Saguaro Cactus is a 3D model from Globeplants. For the sky I used the Physical Starlight and Atmosphere Add-on. These add-ons allwoed my to easily create a short animated version of this scene.

Postprocessing for the Still is done in Photoshop. I created some Custom Look-up tables in Photoshop and used them in Davinci Resolve to color grade the Animated version.

Hope you like it! Feel free to ask questions if you get some, I’m more then happy to answer them.

The only thing I don’t like about the video is that it is only 8 seconds… Amazing work!

Thank you! Might be doing a longer animation somewhere in the future. For now I’m focussing on a proper workflow with Blender and Davinci. Works really well so far!

Amazing indeed.
