So what do people use to put sound and video together - certainly not Blender… My OSX 10.6.2 installs of blenders 2.48 on all used to work just fine with ffmpeg and some codec settings but no more. Stopped working overnight. The only thing I did was run a version of blender 2.5 (25473-full_omp to look at the latest sintel blend).
No updates, no changes to the file settings - nothing. Blender renders out but nothing on ANY PC or Mac that I have access to will read the resulting .mov file.
This is just so annoying… I see this type of thing as one of the major drawbacks for blender - no backward compatibility or current version support - all effort is thrown into the next version only.
