My friends and I have been looking to do a star wars fan film for some time.
When I get good at Blender (which will have to wait till summer, since I’m a Senior and will be graduating soon…) we’ll use that for CG. (Actually I’m planning to use it also for the lightsaber effect.)
For sound effects, would I just load a sound effects library into something like Pinnacle Studio 8 or are there any open source tools I could make sound effects or what?
I hope to do a lot of stuff with graphics, web site desgin and video editing this summer.
I guess I’m not even sure where to start on sound editing…I’m just talking about effects I guess…I suppose I need to know what Audacity really is for; if I need to generate sound effects, or would I use sound FX libraries and simply use Blender’s Audio window…
I think you’d probably just load sounds from a sound effects library into your video editing program of choice. I think there are websites with “open” sound effects content. Try searching for public domain sounds or free sounds, etc. on google (or yahoo, or…;)).
