Am I the only one who experiences problems with sound in Blender? Sometimes my sounds just strangely clip out and disappear while they are playing! This happens most often with background sounds that repeat over and over.
(I would imagine that a better sound card would help, but blender needs to use a more robust (considering different hardware, and playing multiple channels reliably) library for sound in the game engine anyway)
Yes, this is a known problem with OpenAL, which replaced FMod (I think) in 2.25. You have to use 2.23, or wait until the gameengine finally gets backed and fixed in a forthcoming release
