Hi, Liquidshield,

I have a related problem (blender OSX version loads up sound files but it is not possible to play them) on my mac mini Intel. I have already filed it in the bugtracker.

#5821 - No sound on OSX (Intel) version of Blender Game Engine (submitted on 2007-01-24)
http://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=5821&group_id=9&atid=125

When a sample file attached with the bug submission is run on OSX, blender 2.43 returns the following errors:

blender(5164,0xa000cfc0) malloc: *** error for object 0x797fa0: Non-aligned pointer being freed (2)
blender(5164,0xa000cfc0) malloc: *** set a breakpoint in szone_error to debug
WARNING: Sound actuator SE9 failed to load sample.
OK
PYTHON SCRIPT ERROR:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File โ€œtesttexโ€, line 7, in ?
AttributeError: Unable to find requested actuator

No such errors are returned when the sample is run on blender XP version 2.43.

The problem still exists in the brand new version 2.43 (built on 15th Feb 2007). Probably I should have registered the bug with more specific information along with a better reference file under the OSX category, not under that of Game Engine.

I have been thinking about using XP on BootCamp when I need to use Blender GameEngine, which seems to be the best solution to me for the time being. I tried it on Parallels Desktop & XP but blender runs too slow on it.

[UPDATE] halley kindly informed that there are problems with OpenAL on intel mac platform. Please see the bug submission entry above for more information.
