Calling this done! Posted the final result in Space monkey Buzanne - thanks for all the positive comments and reactions!
I left out the flyover shot because I felt it didn’t actually add much to the animation. Other than that, I pretty much stuck to what i had in the original previz.
I ended up redoing the “piloting shot” as well. It’s not too different but the little softer lighting setup works much better.
