Space project - Burster Aerotech 2010 SGC entry

The game is finished for now.
This will be my entry for the 2010 summer game competition.

I learned a lot in making this game, including how to make a mission editor which will spawn the selected units in game, with team colours, Teams, skill and other settings.
I also had my first try with Burster. Seems to work well, I get 60 frames per second even with the max number of ships in game.

You will need the Burster plugin which can be found here:
http://geta3d.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2&Itemid=18

You can play the game here:

EDIT changed the location.

See a demo here:

and see some screenshots here:

Give it a try and please report any problems to me. I will probably release one more update in the future with some bug fixes and extra functionality, such as crash damage and a capital ship.

EDIT:
fixed enemy firing problems.
They were using a bad calculation for choosing valid firing range to target.
Instead of;
weapon range *0.2 (converting meters to blender units)
they were using:
weapon range * 5 (the calcualtion for converting ulender units to meters).

Enjoy.

The game is based on Aerotech, part of the battletech universe.

I’m going to be taking a break from battletech for a while and next up I’m going to be making a far future post apocalyptic RPG.

that game looks awesome. keep up the awesome work.

from the pics i’d say it looks like evochron mercenaries
