Space Ship (Very WIP)

Hey, I’m new and I’ve only had Blender for a week or two.
I’m only twelve years old so don’t expect this image to be great.

The image is in BMP format and is about 182 kbs, so it may take a while to load.

With the textures I couldn’t find much, so I had to resort to some pretty crappy ones, and as I said, this image is still a work in progress.

Any constructive criticism or comments will be well taken.

Image link doesn’t work :frowning:

Also, if you can, convert it to a jpeg or something with a smaller file size.

As far as textures, (can’t see yours), if you can’t find an image on the net, etc., that you like, make your own with Gimp or Photoshop. Then either apply it as a regular texture or use the UV mapper in Blender.

Can’t wait to see the image.

A good begining. There are tons of free textures on the net, not that all of them are very good, but there are a few good sites. Why’s it in BMP format? You do know you can render images in jpg right? About the textures. I’m not sure how far you are, but if you go to the materials window you’ll see four buttons about in the middle. They say “Flat”,“Cube”,“Tube”, and “Sphere”. Hit the cube button and the textures should look a bit better. Keep adding detail to the model and good luck.

Right click on it and select “save as”. Then ou can download it and look at it.

it alright… needs alot of detail. good start though.

btw, im thirteen, and WeirdHat’s 12, you’ll pick up soon enough.

Now I’ve added on a few textures and put the file in a .gif, anyway, here’s the link:

Anyway, thanx for the comments

Can’t view or download it…

anyway, use JPEG or PNG, not GIF, GIF are 256 colours, this is bad!
