speed curve

instead of keyframing my camera to move a long a maze i’ve drawn a path and got the camera to follow it. As I want the camera to go really slowly I have altered the speed curve (moved it along to the right but keeping it within 0.0 and 1.0), is this the right way to go about it? I have noticed that when I do this it needs a LOT more frames in my animation, for example, at the moment i’m just practicing by only drawing the path along the beginning quarter of my maze and when I put it at the speed i prefer it at, it takes 800 frames to get to this point and thats only a tiny bit of the maze. Does it sound like I am doing this wrong? will this make it take absolutely ages to render the animation?
Thanks
Rach

Sounds right. Instead of flying along at speed 1.0 to travers the maze in 10 seconds (250 EU frames), slowing down at corners may take 20 seconds, with more frames taken at the corners, which would be 500 EU frames.

EU=25 fps

In F9, in the Curve and Surface tab, you could also change the PathLength. Read the tooltip though.
