No problem !!! And i’ll make use of cubemap reflections just to make the cars look abit more detailed. BTW these are Medium Settings im not making use of any Nodes yet for the detail. (Thks so much for the support Nicholas_A) :slight_smile:

Everythings optimal and runs well both on the Low end this Entire week ivd been polishing and pushing 2-PLAYER TO THE MAX on BGE now on UPBGE the render results are too satisfying though the code is not too buggy at all 2-Player split screen is really going to make an Entry in this Title and hopefully will be fun. (BTW still polishing parts of the official Demo)

Looking very good! some of the shading makes the cars look a bit flat though…like if you look at the rims of the dodge charger on the track…there seems to be no darkness at the upper half of the rims…I cannot place my finger on it…it just looks a bit flat.

but still looks amazing! that is the one thing I think can be improved though…what is you light setup like…I am curious…for me using sun shadows has a huge impact on performance.

Im only using 1 sun for the whole scene i have a different kinda light setup the rest spawn in at different times but mostly the code on color and toning of the screen what you see is raw lighting (shadows are not baked). my performance is really high mainly because i was optimizing this game on BGE alot from start so the performance is too good here on low end i get around about 30 to 35 fps part of that optimization comes from code and some frrom logic all my logic is optimized thats why even the nitrous bar takes some time to coppy information from the Hud’ and the speed of the car and also the players acceleration. (Now im on UPBGE and UPBGE runs all the optimizations fully and well) all im busy with now is car engine sound and Gears. Im doing a Manual transmission system from scratch its not a hard task you will see when Gameplay will be out !!!

My only downfall is AI AI im stil trying to find a way to optimize AI, AI takes quite alot of performance i will use animation to optimize AI to the max. AI will be dynamic but its path tracking will be animated. (thanks did you see my Final showcase video ? )The detail i put in that Gameplay Video showcase scene is the exact same detail iam going to put on all my race track events for now all i have is experimental graphics tests. (And what ive shown so far)

spawning lights has no affect on performance. lights on inactive layers will degrade performance as if they are active. spawning multiple of one light wont work due to the renderer.

absolute MAX lights for low end is 10. my pc is crippled with 40. i aim for less then 20.

if upbge magically worked around these issues, do tell.

Its not really that much lights not more than 3 lights sofar this game is one of the best performing games i have ever created on BGE up to this point in production but i still have to keep optimizing even until the end of its production. (Especially considering the fact that i still have more to add to the world design and also just to the gameplay)

Everything i have done sofar has been done to optimal level, all my py scripts are Half-optimized and the Logic Bricks involved are also optimized only a few take some performance … (Eg: Dynamic font) However its just AI that needs to be fully intergrated and then fully optimized.

As i was making this game i really focused alot on 2-Player splitscreen gameplay this was essential for me because, i wanted to see how far i can push offline multiplayer game modes, everything ive done i doubled the work that i was supposed to do for the singleplayer mode. Which is good because this will make my task easier in the long run just designing the single player properly. My approach this time is that with singleplayer i will try to polish it as best i can and make it way better than in 2 player splitscreen, the single player should be the best part of any game i will do what i must Daedalus_MDW.

Well, hello there guy’s yes its me Fred/K.S and im back this month with some new content directly being finnished !!!

Im a fan of Drag Race’s and this time Speed Racer A Whole New World 2 will try its best at delivering that experience to you player’s. (It will deliver this experience in the best way possible on UPBGE and BGE)

Im re - working AI, to make AI abit more challenging with a Constant difficulty level… (That players will later on learn and eventually beat that AI)

Guy’s iam soo sorry for not posting i have been actively working on all my projects so pls dont be mad pls !!!

So far what im seeying so far is amazing, i believe that you guy’s will like it !!!

Im also sorry for making so so many promises about the game’s release its hard, well what i mean by hard is that it takes time to get things right ive been making progress, progressing but at a slower pace than usual this time around i will officially announce that the official demo will be released sometime next year all you need to do is pay more attention to the thread and site for the latest weekly news !!!

Im mostly updating on my site now well under its comments section !!!

The Game is amazing, BTW im just optimizing and polishing. The majority of the stuff are already made/designed/tested in GE so yeah guys and thanks so so much if you’ve been supporting this thread alot.

The demo will feature a taste of the final product guys these 3 past months ive been heavily busy with character modeling and world designing and thanks for all the patient support all this time ive been developing the Game’s singleplayer experience including characters.
(Still optimizing BTW!)

So the Official Demo will have a taste of the story to the full game !!! (It will feature short cutscenes as well as really short dialogue, my friend is writing the story to this game, so he’s the Writer of the story) so i will just simply continue building it alone as usual. And so he’s writing a Story to all this, we do have a few voice actors but we will ensure that cutscenes are short as possible. (To not spoil any Gameplay time)

  • The current singleplayer state is being optimized and enhanced to provide the best possible BGE/UPBGE driving experience, Racing has to be quick and fast paced so im still balancing of the dynamics of all the mechanics and graphics !!!

Ive significantly downgraded the graphics for optimal performance on Low End Pc’s !!!

Your game looks awesome the only thing I‘d say is that the colors look a bit washed out in my opinion and even though thats probably an artistic decision I think that the complete lack of strong blacks does damage to the overall look:) Anyways thats just my opinion so just keep up the great work:D

Hey thanks! :smiley: its finally great to have feedback in such a long time well yeah. What you see above isn’t True Colour !!! (True colour is optimized graphics i designed myself)

I tried by using the Levels Filter in order to bring out the Rich tone and vibe of the whole scene as that remains my Highest setting (in Graphics settings “High, Medium, Low”), this particular filter is quite heavy on performance where as the default Graphics system i designed. Its designed for both for the Low End and the high End PC’s its more realistic but slightly brighter. The one you’ve seen above in the screenshots with this new levels filter im trying out is just to test and see the recation from the audience and in my opinion your comment seems to have served its purpose here.

Meaning that i see how it makes the game look, you guys will enjoy it better on True Colour iam currently in the process of making a gameplay video with my story Director which i will upload early this year when its done.

Thank you for your feedback and keep supporting the project the Demo is nearly complete. Just gotta finnish of singleplayer experience and fix bugs and Glitches.

Here’s one of my recent Test Gameplay with friends on a High End PC !!!


The Game was Running on a:

  • Intel CORE I7 7th Gen
  • 24 GB RAM
  • 6 GB Dedicated Graphics
  • Nvidia GTX 1050Ti
