How would you go about making an edge loop next to a vertex group bevel? I run into the problem where I want to add a loop cut next to beveled vertex group vertices. The newly generated vertices of the loop cut copy the vertexgroup data, which results in bad geometry. See the video to see what I mean.
Remove the loop from the vertex groups.
Yes. But would it be possible to prevent the newly generated vertices to copy the neighbouring vertex data?
Nope, since you cut an edge who have a vgroup on one of his vertices, the new vertex will have this vgroup.
In your example, you should use bevel weight instead of vgroups.
I was afraid of that. Thanks for the quick response. I’ll use the bevel weight instead. I like vgroups as you can use multiple bevels on a vertex without distortions of the bevel.

Regarding the cutter function, I hope to add the option of automatically establishing parent-child relationship with the target object. I think this function can speed up the workflow.
Can you tell me when Speedeflow Companion can fix the lattice error?
There is already an option to parent bool objects.
I’m still working on companion, so you will have to wait for a little, sorry for that, I have too much work.
Thanks for your help, and I hope you can finish your work as soon as possible.
How did you get that simplified global axis in the upper right corner of the window?
Thanks, I guess the options for that area are spread out all over.
