How would you go about making an edge loop next to a vertex group bevel? I run into the problem where I want to add a loop cut next to beveled vertex group vertices. The newly generated vertices of the loop cut copy the vertexgroup data, which results in bad geometry. See the video to see what I mean.

Nope, since you cut an edge who have a vgroup on one of his vertices, the new vertex will have this vgroup.
In your example, you should use bevel weight instead of vgroups.
I was afraid of that. Thanks for the quick response. I’ll use the bevel weight instead. I like vgroups as you can use multiple bevels on a vertex without distortions of the bevel.

Regarding the cutter function, I hope to add the option of automatically establishing parent-child relationship with the target object. I think this function can speed up the workflow.
