Speeding up physics?

Hi!

I made an animation with rigid body’s and recorded as IPO’s, but physics acts like they were in slow motion. I used CVS version of blender and bullet physics. Is there way to speed or getting objects react faster with physics/dynamics?

here’s animation:

If I remember correctly, you can open an IPO editor with your object selected, select all of the IPOs for your object, and then just scale them down so that the IPO recorded animation will play back more quickly. Hope that helps.

Its scaling on every axis(time and movement), is there option that i could scale only on time axis?

Start scaling the curves, moving the mouse in the X-direction, then click the middle mouse button. It should continue to scale only in X.

Thanks, that worked to IPO’s. Still its bit fustrating scale all of them one by one but I think I can make it that way. If someone else has another solution please post it

You can shift-RMB to select multiple IPO curves and scale them all at once.

Yeah, i know but what i meant, that I have multiple objects in my scene and they all have diffrent IPO’s :). Thats fustrating :).
Thanks anyway , Im glad that someone is trying to help me

Open the IPO curve and add a Time curve.

Wow, I think that will work here  It was new thing for me that you can control time with IPO’s. Thanks

Is there any way to copy one IPO curve and paste that in another object?

  1. Give one object IPO curve. Note that IPO curve’s name
  2. Select second object.
  3. Go to IPO window
  4. See up-arrow/down-arrow button… press it
  5. Find remembered IPO curve’s name
  6. Select it.
  7. Be happy

There’s probably a faster way, but that’s how I do it.

I always thought that, it will copy all curves but now when readed toolitip again… Damn! i should read more carefully ;). Thanks a lot, that helped me again

“7. Now Im happy :)”
