Speedmodeling entry: Toon-matoes ;)

The tomatoes where SO happy to see the trucks in the horizon, finally
they will get to the marked…but little did they know…

Done in 3 hours, modeling, rigging, compositing with NoOdles etc.

Looks good, they’re way too orange though.

3 hours!?!? It looks amazing! What’s noodles? The new node system?

Lol, the orange one looks high.

I like it, nice facial expressions and lighting

very funny!

Awsome, love, it. What did you have to composite?

Thanks guys

Womball: Yes, it´s the new Node system, the compositor.

Jackblack: Only the slur/blur dof.

What’s “slur”? and did you use the new vector motion blur?

It´s me calling the Blur for Slur  It´s not pretty…it´s sort of “slurry” rather
than Blurry…you can see this if you look closely at the image, there are
areas more “slurred” than “blurred”…

And No… I haven´t used the new vector blur, maybe I should. But I remember
having only 5 minutes left of the competition time so I didnt take the chance.
Of course I could have cheated and done it anyway (who´s gonna check it
out, right?) But I don´t cheat, so I didnt have time to use it.

However…now that you mention it, gotta try that one out.

3hours? Awesome work for such a short amount of time.

The toon renders is neat and the tomatoes are great models.
Only crit would be the poses of some of them. Such as the left leg of the first tomato which seems twisted or bent

Thanks. And yeah. you´re right. It´s all a bit of put-together in the last
minute sort of thing

here´s a wire: http://www.hamsterking.com/blender/3d/tomatoeswire.jpg

Ha, you really seem to like that nodestuff. I’m stlll getting used to version 2.4, it’s just going to fast for me.

That’s a funny model you have there. They’ve got character.

I´ll tell ya though… You´re not Alone. I´ ve still issues with “Drivers”
no…not graphic card-drivers… but driven keys, have no clue how they
work. So yeah…I´m still figuring out stuff from 2.4 too.

Thanks. It made me laugh.
