Speedy Gonzalez

Ok so i started modeling speedy gonzalez. What do u think?

Great shape so far.

Added ears, eyes

Very accurate so far, but I’ll have to see more of it before giving any real critique.

Thanks. Here’s a bit more. Note that materials and lighting are temporary

Hands and bow tie left to model. I’m quite happy with the rest so far, except for the hair.

Looks nice but I think the 2 hair clumps in the ears should be just that. Right now it looks like you’ve made them into wrinkles of the ear. I would extrude 2 polygons and shape it. Keep up the good work!

Redid the ear, comments? I think it turned out better anyhow, thanks for the feedback daemon.

Very expressive and likeable. Splendid modeling work.

Very good modelling work! No crits from me…

looks fantastic, are his feet supposed to be pointing left and right instead of forward and back?

Thanks. The feet have been closer to left/right than forward in all images ive seen. I havent posed or rigged him, but got plans on it, and have just left the feet at an “easy” angle. Im new to rigging though, so we’ll see about that.

Small update. I don’t like the … bow tie…, too much. But to be honest I’m not even sure what it is supposed to look like. Anyone knows traditional mexican costumes? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve only deformed one side of it. I’ll look into the other later, when deciding if, how and what i’m gonna do with this toon.

I like it, looks very clean, nice job!

Still looking great! I think an animation of some sort would be awesome… or maybe try and do a similar still to the original reference pic you posted - now that would be something!
