Hi Blender Comunity,
this is my first post and I hope someone can help my solving a problem I have with sperical mapping of an earth texture.
I want to create a 3d-representation of the earth.
I took some textures from nasa and rescaled it to 8192 x 4096. (The 20k images crash blender)
I applied the texture to an icosphere.
Now I get a realy nasty line artifact at the edge of the texture. (see picture)
The scene is only lit by 1 sunlamp.
I found a bad solution with croping the image in the mapping tab, the line artifact disappear, but I don´t like the cropping…
Anybody know how to solve it?
