spider eater, mech scorpion

(scrappy) #1

ok ive finished the scorpion, and i am very happy with the results, i don’t know much about hydrolics so i just made something that looked right. it may not be as good as rixtr66’s spider, IMO, but i can’t work lightflow all that well yet so i just rendered it in blender, not that there is anything wrong with that  http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/pontiac/scorpion.html

Very cool,

We should make up a gallery with all these mechanical insects (well actually these are arachnids…)

what are you talking about, thats awesome!its just as good as mine,a little better actually, the modelling is good ,shadows are better, and you got the glowing red that i couldnt get with lightflow.cool stuff, the hydraulics are beleivable, all you need is a scene.
great stuff :o :o :o

Very cool! Maybe your scorpion and rixtr66’s spider should fight to the death… :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe your scorpion and rixtr66’s spider should fight to the death…

rixtr’s scorpion is way too friendly to fight.
he exudes the giving tree persona to me.

Scrappy i love the dominatrix look your scorpion has going for it.
very saucy!

Really people, All I want is a scorpian with a friquen LAZER BEAM ON ITS HEAD!!.. (or tail in this matter). Very, Very cool. You have this specimen for download??

(eeshlo) #8

Really good! Rendering with external renderers can be a bit overrated as far as I am concerned, if you can’t make things look right in Blender, you won’t necessarily be able to make it look any better with an external renderer. It actually can make it worse sometimes…
