Spiral wire

I want to wrap wires with a spiral covering. I guess using screw and a curve it’s the way but I can’t get anything I can use. Any idea? Thanks

You could of course also do this with Geometry nodes.
Just create a Spiral and use a Curve To Mesh node to extrude your cord profile along that path. After that you could use something like higgsas Curve Deform nodegroup:

It can be created using the Screw+Curve modifier.
You can also use geometry nodes in other ways.

I was using a plane instead an edge as I see you did, rigoletto. Thanks for sharing the scene. Now it’s quite clear to me.
