Hey everyone! Let’s say I’m trying to do a simple floating animation for this 2D snake sprite. It’s body is partially in the water and thus should be doing wave-like movements. I separated the mesh into two parts for back tail and forward tail and rigged them, but I can’t figure out how to control the motion. IK rig didn’t work out well (the body is too big). One fella suggested that I should “use the spline IK so that one controller could control the body”.
I’m unfamliar with that kind of rig. What did he mean by that and how should I do that?
You fashion the curve into a wave shape and when you pass the armature along it, it tries to mimic the curve as much as possible.
