Splitscreen multiplayer help please

Hi there, I was wondering if there is a script out there that can make it so
two people can play a game in a splitscreen versus mode?

As in the screen is split horizontally down the middle and the two players each controll a character (like black ops splitscreen versus)

IS this possible? And if so could somebody point me in the right direction? Thankyou

It is possible using viewports and python.
