Hello,
I am new in the forum and only use blender once in a while. So I am no pro!
My question: I am using a Spotlight set to “square” to simulate a videoprojector. Is it possible to change the aspect-ratio of the spotlight from square to either 4:3 or 16:9. Or do I have to do so manually using the x and y scale.
If so, would I scale e.g. x=1.777 y=1 or x=1 y=0.56? That’s important, because I am simulating a real world situation and don’t want to scale my projector to big or small then it actually would be.
Second: in real life a projectors beam-angle usually is described as throw-ratio or throw-distance. E.g. 2:1 for 2m distance for 1m image-wide. If my math is right, that should refer to an angle of 28°. Is this right? Or is there a way to enter the Spot Angle not in degrees but in throw-distance??
Thanks! Y
