Spotlight shadows too sharp

There is a Spotlight pointing at that circular Detroit Pistons logo. (The background image is just a Texture and not the issue.) I think that the shadow of the Pistons Logo is too sharp - I think it should be about as soft as the Spotlight’s own ring.

Can somebody tell me what needs to be altered? The Materials on the Pistons logo, the Spotlight, or something in my Render settings? I’ve been playing around with it, but was unable to make much of a change.

Under the lamps Shadow settings, increase the Soft Size. You will also need to increase the number of Samples

Richard Marklew,

Thanks a lot. Just adjusting the Samples by itself seemed to do the trick, at least in this situation (although it really prolonged the Render time). Thanks!
